On June 13, 2018 Colog was represented by Nolan Welsh at the Nevada Water Resources Association’s Advanced Borehole Geophysical Logging Water Resources/Water Supply Workshop in Reno Nevada. This workshop covered topics including: uses for geophysical logs, interpretation of open and cased hole logs, borehole conditions and principles of drilling techniques, formulas used in borehole logging interpretations, resistivity theory and devices, porosity probes and BMR limitations and interpretation.
A variety of probes and logs – from imaging to acoustic, nuclear to electric/magnetic – were available for hands-on inspection and discussion, as well as a fully equipped logging truck.
