Block Island Wind Farm of the Coast of Rhode Island.
COLOG performed an extensive geophysical logging suite from a jack-up barge 20 miles off the coast of Rhode Island in support of a geotechnical investigation modeling the rock-strength properties of soft sea floor sediment/bedrock for a proposed wind farm.
Casons were to be placed approximately 90 feet into the sea floor.
The geophysical investigation assisted by providing critical engineering properties of the host rock including shear-strength, compressibility and elasticity.
